D.D. WILLIAMSON BETS ON
BIG BROWN
IN THE BELMONT STAKES

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, USA -- (May 19, 2008) – Associates at Louisville-based D.D. Williamson, the world leader in caramel color, are ecstatic over Big Brown’s win in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes. In support of the thoroughbred in the Belmont Stakes, the ingredient manufacturer plans to continue posting its temporary banner – “Go Big Brown” -- on its Louisville plant site at 1901 Payne Street, visible from downtown.

“As the world leader in brown food colorants, Big Brown is our undisputed favorite for the last Triple Crown race,” commented Ted Nixon, CEO. “Every day more than 1.5 billion servings of brown foods and beverages containing D.D. Williamson caramel color are consumed around the globe,” added Nixon.

The company’s associates were saddened by the loss of Eight Belles, the filly that came in second place in the 134th Kentucky Derby. All of D.D. Williamson’s associates wish the best for the Eight Belles team during this difficult time.
