Corporate Cal’s Basic Brown Gravy

The only thing Corporate Cal likes better than making money is making gravy. One taste of his basic brown will tell you why ‘gravy’ is slang for an added bonus.

3 Tbsp margarine 40 g margarine
3 Tbsp flour 30 g flour
1 can (14.5 oz) beef broth 411 g beef broth
1/2 c milk 125 g milk
1 tsp D.D. Williamson
Caramel Color Powder
2 g of D.D. Williamson
Caramel Color Powder

Directions:

  1. Melt margarine in 2 quart saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add flour.
  3. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Stir in broth and milk.
  5. Add D.D. Williamson Caramel Color Powder
  6. With constant stirring, cook til gravy boils and reaches desired consistency.

Tips:

  • This is a basic gravy recipe and can be created in just minutes.
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes with 2 cups of water may replace the can of beef broth.
  • If chicken flavor is your preference, chicken broth may be used instead of beef broth.
